Journalistic objectivity is a funny thing. Schrodinger's headline. Theoretically, there is objective truth, but as soon as a human interprets and relays that information, it is tainted by subjectivity. The notion of "fake news" might be the most important concept of this generation--we have once and truly lost faith in received information. We default to doubt. We've been lied to too many times. We are without faith. We've peeked behind the curtain. "Their side" is lying. "Our side" is lying. Everyone is selling information, buyer beware.

A classic New York Post front page is duplicated, like copies on a newsstand sliding over, but is duplication always copy, or does it necessarily changed from the original? What would Benjamin think of the era of digital reproduction?

This work is printed to stretched canvas and mounted as a float inside a custom, white wooden frame (see detail photos).
