When she was orphaned at age 14, the maker of this story cloth was left to raise her baby sister on her own. She enrolled in a sewing class (represented by the machine next to her) and was able to earn a living to support herself and her sister. Only much later, did she learn to appreciate her remarkable resilience, and the enormous success she had achieved.
