Following an interest in cartographic works, Chung uses bright colours and incorporates beads, rhinestones and embroidery to create a sense of beauty and texture which ‘contrasts starkly with the sombre historical realities they chart out.’

The collage, a part of the exhibition, "Caution! Development in Progress" evokes the rapid human development of the landscape through the cartographic symbology of maps.
