"I did that piece when Steve Bannon was getting heat on getting money from the 'We build the wall' project. IT was relevant to the same day; at some point it got taking down and I hope to find it." -Degrupo
DeGrupo creates in the streets of New York City and his inspiration comes from various aspects of contemporary life, including technology, the environment, mass media or public figures. During the pandemic when the city was a ghost town he populated the walls of New York City with his signature street art which mashes various cultural symbols with drawing and the technique of collage. DeGrupo has been showcasing his art for the last decade in the streets of New York, Miami, Santiago, Chile and Jacksonville amongst others. Expressing through stenciling and text he has been enjoying the freedom of working in the public realm without concerns about censoring.
