Artist Statement
I would like to submit my sculpture,” Where There Is Life There Is Love”. I created this sculpture from my imagination, while my Daughter and Son in law were expecting my Granddaughter.
As a retired OB Nurse (2019) I have given care to many Mothers and Babies, it is of paramount importance that we provide the best of care and education to moms, babies, and families. I have given more than a thousand first baby baths to newborns! It was my pleasure to educate families on the best care for their infants and show them! It is my hands that are holding this wee baby, in-utero size, unknown outcomes, love and anticipation.

Biography
I am a Contemporary Fine Artist who expresses in paint and sculpture. In 2019 I retired as an R.P.N. after attaining many specialties, including Newborn Resuscitation, Maternal Newborn and Maternal Care, andLactation consultant. When I saw your art Call I knew that I wanted to submit my sculpture,” WhereThere Is Life There Is Love”. As an artist I was so pleased about the upcoming birth of my Granddaughter I created this piece as a tribute to how much she was loved and treasured even before she was born, I dreamed about holding on to her from the time I knew about her! Who knew that she would be born during COVID and our plans for me to be there to help with her birth and bath, would not be possible because of the Pandemic.
