Presley
When she is happy, she has the most beautiful eyes and sweetest smile. She also has some funny facial expressions. Presley loves to look at books, scoot around, and explore her surroundings. One of her new things to do right now is when you go to check on her in her room to see what she is doing, she will go over to the door and slam the door closed on you. One of her favorite games to play is peekaboo. She can melt your heart with her smile and giggle. Presley is also very stubborn, which is one of my favorite parts of her personality. This, I believe, has gotten her to where she is today. She likes to do things on her own with no help. This can be frustrating when we are at therapy because they need to help show her what she needs to do. However, she is very feisty and does not like to be told what to do. We can’t wait to see how much she grows and improves her skills in the years to come.

Chromosome 5 Duplication

Chromosome 5p duplication is a chromosome abnormality that occurs when there is an extra
copy of genetic material on the short arm (p) of chromosome 5. The severity of the condition and
the signs and symptoms depend on the size and location of the duplication and which genes are involved. Features that often occur in people with chromosome 5p duplication include developmental delay, intellectual disability, behavioral problems, and distinctive facial features. Most cases are not inherited, but people can pass the duplication on to their children.
