While food waste is a major issue, have you ever looked into a restaurant garbage? Which amount of food is wasted every day? According to the French Agency for Ecological Transition (Ademe), food waste in France represents 10 million tons per year. In the catering sector (collective and commercial), 1.6 million tons of food that is still consumable are thrown away each year.
