Disney Art
Several years ago, Disney created the Legacy Program by licensing a few well known artists to paint Disney characters in their paintings. As it happened, Dan’s work fits in with this, as his scenes are conducive to beach activities. The licensed artists have to abide by the many Disney guidelines but are not told what to paint.
The artwork is sent to the art department in California, and many times returned to the artist for revisions. Once the paintings are approved, they publish them and are for sale at the parks in Florida, California, Japan and France, as well as their cruise ships.
