ABOUT THE ARTIST
In his music, Janco Verduin (1972) draws from concepts from a vast arrange of sources: software engineering, neurosciences and psychology, nature, physics and biology, visual arts and of course, all music known to us. With everchanging sound constellations he explores the human perception of sound, structures and meaning we give to it.
Verduin studied at the Royal Conservatory The Hague with Louis Andriessen, Martijn Padding, Gillius van Bergeijk, and Richard Ayres.

ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
It is from a series of works I have been posting on instagram last years. With it I aimed to develop techniques and a more personal visual language, with the aim to merge this 21st century form of art with the other stuff I do, which is to compose contemporary art music. In these digital works I often aim for a virtual sculpture that is presented with a strong chiaroscuro.
