The Yellow Umbrella and more art by Nadia Kisseleva

Nadia Kisseleva MA
Nadia Kisseleva was born in a small industrial town in Russia, where she began training in art when she was fourteen.
After working in East Africa on ethnographic data for over a decade, her paintings acquired vibrant colours and dramatic contrasts.
From 2000, while studying art in the United Kingdom, Nadia’s work became more
reflective on theoretical topics in art and became engaged with socio-political issues.
Her project ‘Stripped’ brings together her experiences of living in places of diverse cultures. In 2019 it was exhibited at the Venice Biennale, ‘Personal Structures Identities’, ECC.
Nadia lives and works in the United Kingdom. Her artworks can be found in private and public collections around the world.
