Recorded in 1966, the album “Edgar Redmond and the Modern String Ensemble” contains six songs composed, arranged and conducted by Edgar. As the founder and music director of the jazz group, he also played the clarinet on every song.

“This instrumental group is a musical organization which successfully marries the beauty of the sound of the symphony orchestra with the exhilarating rhythmic feel of jazz.”

In 2019, his son Michael Redmond and Executive Producer, commissioned the album to be remixed and remastered. The album contains the songs Funky Fiddles, Bach Und Roll, Humalump, Cello Bossa, Theme Eternal and The “Y”.

(The vinyl albums are collector items.)
