Through her art, Jacqueline H-Botquelen acts as an archaeologist of the human psyche, her creations seem to have been unearthed or recovered from some distant place in the artist's unconscious.
It's as if each work of art has had a life of its own, transcended by the artist's research into the mediums used. Jacqueline H-Botquelen achieves a suspended time in reference to our memories.

JHB oscillates effortlessly between them with graceful proficiency. The central theme of Jacqueline H-Botquelen's artistic research is Permanence and Fragility. In her artistic series, she creates a recurring dialogue between figurative and abstract in her paintings, collages and sculptures.
