Blocks for the Builders and more art by Francois van Eeden

Blocks for the Builders, 2020

''Blocks for the Builders is an artwork created inside the popular game Minecraft - where players interact and use different types of blocks to create whatever they want to. Within the community of Minecraft, there are individuals that make three-dimensional artworks using the game. Unfortunately, they are not always recognised as artists, nor is Minecraft Building often considered an art form. I created this piece to change people's minds about what art is. The scene depicts different core aspects of human life, which art has been trying to represent since the beginning of civilisation''
