Steve Irwin was an Australian wildlife conservationist, educator, and the host of his very own show, “The Crocodile Hunter”. Even many years after his death, he’s still positively impacting society to this day with his foundation of Wildlife Warriors Worldwide, a wildlife protection and research organization. He’s important to me personally because he died doing what he loved, and always educated people on the importance of understanding animals and saving the environment. The quote that I used in my painting perfectly describes him, “I have no fear of losing my life if I have to save a koala or a crocodile or a kangaroo or a snake, mate, I will save it.” He would do anything to protect an animal in need, which I find to be incredibly courageous and admirable.
