Conceptually rooted in Arthur Koestler's book Ghost in the Machine, these works present a hierarchy of Holons (Holarchy) that exaggerates the abstract space between finite and infinite. Composed using a precise computer algorithm, these abstract Holarchies repurpose the medium of technology to evoke a philosophical introspection about the interconnectivity, complexity, and stability of organic and inorganic systems that we inhabit in reality.
The artist’s research in understanding the relationship between “part” and “whole” and for which he developed custom software that could visually express this duality in a Holarchy, led to the creation of a series of prints that express the journey from multiplicity to singularity, and vice-versa. With this system, Amay Kataria ambitiously wanted to flatten the duality, to experience the relationship of a part to a whole as a singular Holon.

Concettualmente radicate nel libro di Arthur Koestler Ghost in the Machine, queste opere presentano una gerarchia di Holons (Holarchy) che esagera lo spazio astratto tra finito e infinito.
