American Labor Party , 1936

This is a colorful 1936 poster for the American Labor Party promoting Franklin D. Roosevelt and Herbert H. Lehman, who served as governor of New York from 1933 to 1942, advocated a five-day workweek, the abolition of child labor, and Social Security — now established in the United States. (However, as recent activists have argued, the five-day workweek and other labor victories are being challenged by telecommuting and globalization — or, like banning child labor, are not universally applied.) The poster has a typical style of contemporary America. In the image, there are people holding slogan of rights that American labor party looking for. We can see people from different class, middle class and labor class, which means this party serves every American people. Below the image is the purpose of this poster.
