I am new to photography and as I continue to explore the different aspects and take images, I have to seem to have fallen in love with this medium. I have been making art for as long as I can remember and I try to push myself to try new mediums and methods each time I sit down ready to bring my imagination into reality. This piece was meant to demonstrate the different angles of light. I wanted to be able to capture the playful movement and essence of light. I went around my whole house taking pictures of different kinds of artificial light sources trying to find the perfect image. While some of the images I did like, it felt as if I still had not found the right one. Then I saw this snowglobe sitting on my desk. It is made from a very reflective metal and almost resembles that of a mirror. It also has a handle at the bottom that you crank and it plays a beautiful melody. I often like to make stories behind many of my art pieces, whether they are simple sketches or completed. As I was taking the image the story behind it began to piece together forming a movielike scene. Time is standing completely still echoing its song that had been played over and over again. The only life to be seen is from the light as it dances across the reflective dear, giving a sense of a lost memory eagerly waiting to be awakened by the sound of its enchanting song. I plan to continue working on my skills whether it be with this medium or another one. Art is a very important aspect of my life and the life of others. We as artists make the impossible possible, and bring the unimaginable into reality. We make our dreams and the dreams of others come true through our art.
