Sailboats at Sunrise at the Marina is artfully painted on gallery wrapped canvas.

I’m honored that Sunrise on the Harbor was chosen to be printed on the cover of a local Tampa based community art center.

The style of this is expressionistic as well as impressionistc…almost stretching the word realism to painterly realism. It reflects my love of water and my process is expressed through color, light and how I experience the world. In this painting, I’m focusing on the sky and how it is reflected in the water.

The sailboats were painted with simple strokes made with my palette knife and serve as a horizon line in the composition.

Vignettes of seascapes define a personal odyssey where sailboats symbolize the ruptures and constants of the world that I set out to shape for myself.

“… throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover.” Mark Twain
