Silenced Part 2 and more art by Ellis King

Ellis King is a self-taught illustrator and artist, and has been practising art since her school years, working primarily on commissioned pieces in acrylic paint and oil pastels. In 2020 she turned her passion into her career, and now works from her home studio. Ellis balances being an artist alongside being a mother to her young son.

As a feminist her work largely focuses on empowering women and exploring female creativity. The pieces on a range of mediums, including canvas, primed hardwood and paper.

"Silenced" are feminist pieces reflecting the suppression and repression of women. The abstract nature of the piece captures the frustration and revolt of womankind, and our rebellion.
