Roberto Casimiro Mieres
cutting the finish line in Valentino Park GP 1955.
He scored the 2nd position right behind A.Ascari.
was born in Argentina on the 3rd December 1924.
He competed in various sports, including rowing, sailing, rugby, and tennis. In his 2 years F1 racing career, he never won but came close to the podium various times, scoring 13 points in 2 seasons. In Valentino Park 1955, he arrived 2nd at the finish line. In 1960 he competed in the Summer Olympic Games, beating Prince Bira, his fellow former F1 racing friend, in the sailing Star Class. He died at age 87 in 2012.
