Liza's work investigates the hybridization between psychological, biological and mystics in
connection with his autobiographical story concepts, through photography and writing. Using symbolic
language, which operates in the abstraction, staging, archiving, documentary, representation and setting of
spaces. Ambrossio builds images that speak about the trauma as something that precedes us, from the
spiritual, blood, physiological and mental halito. His works are developed in the territories of the familiar
from a disenchanted, hilarious, perverse and unnatural perspective.
Liza Ambrossio is a mexican artist who currently lives and works in México city and northern mexico study
the bachelor of communication sciences majoring in journalism at unam, the fcp and s., and the bachelor of
design graphic communication at uam-x. During 2014 she was a student of critical seminars cuban curator
juan antonio molina in the "page in soft" platform; in january 2016, i concluded the "diploma in new
documentary photography", by José Luis Cuevas and Iván Ruiz.
He has participated in various group and solo exhibitions in México and Brazil. Among the awards he has
received include the award the third place at the international image festival F.I.N.I. (2014) and selection in
the festival Paraty em Foco, Brazil (2014).
His recent publications include "Les péchés de mon père" in L'oeil de la photographie (E.E.U.U.- France) and
"Blood of my blood" in fang magazine. His work is part of private collections and is represented by the
gallery "Casa Gotxickoa". Currently she continues with the production of the series "anger of devotion" and a
draft publication for the same car.
