On January 15-16, 2019, a terror attack at the DusitD2
hotel in the Westlands area of Nairobi, Kenya, left more
than 20 people dead. Al-Shabaab, a radical Islamic terror
group based in East Africa, claimed responsibility for
the attack, calling it "a response to US President Donald
Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel."
