Minnie Jardine, an artist living and working in West Danby, NY, is showing four paintings from a pivotal journey she made to the Ise Shrine, in Japan. This series – the ancient trees that line the approach to the shrine and the view from a bullet train to Tokyo – is about finding a solidly-rooted footing, and purchase in an unsteady present.
