Artists from Left to Right:

Carolina Betancourt, Tijuana, Mexico 2019 (Embroidery and painting) “Respiro/Respite” - Artist Statment: The "Respite" blanket is a part of what can be called "taking time" for the mind and body. The essence of the nature spectres like the steams and the leaves of the trees, come from my childhood in the fields. The textures and contours merge to give a self-portrait presence, after all, the sense of time and anxiety used to be nothing compared to the present. That is the reason why the blanket serves as a reminder to give us a time to breathe, without forgetting our sense of belonging.
