Optic Mania and more art by Pippa van der Weijden

Optic Mania
70 x 45 x 1 cm (h x w x d)

With “Optic Mania” I tried to induce the emotional state of Paranoia onto the viewer with my composition and color choices. The highly saturated red is meant to represent an overwhelming sense of danger. The eyes and TV screens are a key aspect of the piece, emulating the fear of being watched.
This piece was the first time I've ever done an underpainting for digital artwork. I benefited from the digital medium since this piece had so many layers.
