In this series of portraits, Steve Bandoma highlights the destiny of soldiers who were close to Mobutu. The padlock represent the sealed fate of the commandes close to Mobutu after his fall. Experienced military men that sacrificed their lives to serve Mobutu....castrated and not able to have children were abandonned in Morocco after the death of Mobutu.
