OPIUM Series

"Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the soul of a heartless world, as it is the spirit of social conditions in which the spirit is excluded. It is the opium of the people". Karl Marx

With their spiritual influence and authority, they subjected others in the name of a supreme spiritual being. They exploited their naivety or ignorance of others using religion as a drug to sedate their will for independence, individual reflection and freedom.

It created confusion and loss of identity, precisely in Africa, where syncretism, overlap and spiritual confusion rule.
