(Gift Print, 1989)

Coming to prominence during the 1980s, T.L. Solien created enchanting visions of bizarre worlds on gigantic canvases in which drawing and painting play an equal role. Punning also played a role in his work, as in this the title of this print. In 1989 when Print Club selected Bad Blood as its annual gift, the Art Center had just hosted a major retrospective of his work. Solien’s career suffered a major blow when nearly all of his work was destroyed in a tragic fire at his dealer’s gallery in Chicago.
