Artist Statement
One gets this overwhelming feeling that everything in art has been already discovered. Then, what is the role of contemporary art? Here and now, and my own humble place in it? I see a strong connection and continuity between the past, the present and the stirring force which can take a form of disturbing reflection of reality or the confrontation between dreams we were told to dream and our true identity. My role is to be a witness and observer rather than a revolutionary. I believe in duality that we must embrace to fully experience life, the polarity of opposite energies that make up the whole. I believe in spiritual connection and interdependence between all living things, the Creator and the Universe. In the world of mind blowing explosion of technology, in the midst of the race to faster lives and instant gratification, we need a moment of reflection on how to run the race and not lose the track. Artist Bio
The passion for art came down on me quite late in life as a surprise. It has been a journey of discoveries and failures. I am work in process, not complete, and I hope to stay this way to the end.
