Artist Statement
Hello Dolly was a spontaneous adventure for me. I had heard of Glue Gun art and really thought it was cool because it is 3 dimensional. So I sketched Dolly then glued all my sketch lines with a glue gun. I covered the complete piece in Gesso to ensure paint would adhere to glue. Then painted Dolly and the background. It makes for a real conversation piece when people find out how this mixed media piece was created.
