Artist Statement
I often find inspiration in nature, in the beauty of a flower or in birds going about their business. So I paint them using watercolour or oil paint, soft pastels or even coloured pencils. I painted this Blue Jay from a photo I took during one of my walks in the park. There it was, perched on a branch, just looking up. Perfect!

Artist Bio
I was first introduced to drawing when I was in elementary school. A classmate was really talented and I was terribly envious. So I wished in my heart that I could be just as good. I discovered some time later that I was able to draw not too badly. I started drawing whenever I had a chance, even at the end of a test when I finished writing it early. I took a break from art when life got in the way, but since I retired, I started again. Now, I am running out of wall space!
