Artist Statement
My paintings are largely inspired by my life in Pakistan.
With my portrait collection that features people from the rural provinces, I built a connection between the viewers and people they will never meet. The characters in my portraits all come in pairs. Heritage: Village elders, is the painting I have chosen for this exhibition, shows that no matter who you are, there is always a connection to be made. My collection depicting the cultures of Pakistan, guides viewers through the seemingly ordinary but interesting lives of those who live there. I focus on incorporating colors that evoke strong feelings.
