Otto Heller and his "Anton"
100 x 150 x 2.5 cm (h x w x d)

"Anton" is a nickname for a very complex acoustic apparatus for producing tones. In principle, a modern successor to the interval apparatus used by Carl Stumpf, which was shown in the first room.
"Anton" is in German a male name. If you consider the two syllables of this name, this means "An" for "on" and "Ton" for "tone". "Anton" would be in English "ontone", which is unfortunately not a male name.
Georg Schüssler, a technically very talented coworker of Otto Heller, built numerous well thought out apparatus for Chair III. He often used old materials for this purpose and virtually personified the concept of sustainability.
