Equitable and more art by Gary Germanier (sewn with a piece of the Laurence Piaget-Dubuis installation)

Equitable, 2022
sewn tarp

The artist duo Gary Germanier and the eco-artist Laurence Piaget-Dubuis transform dormant materials – ephemeral works of art and industrial tarpaulins – into utilitarian objects.
After a first life in the service of a message or an image, the materials doomed to oblivion are endowed with an added value by upcycling. A transformation that gives the material a new utilitarian function. It artistically accompanies an extraordinary daily life, supports the regional economy and is committed to sustainability.
Gary Germanier has transformed a piece of the photographic work - IT'S HOT - by Laurence Piaget-Dubuis, into a fake milk carton highlighting and questioning values such as: human and animal life, equity and local production.
