Ice-T was born Tracy Lauren Marrow in Newark, New Jersey but moved to Los Angeles to live with parental aunt in sixth grade. His aunt lived in South Central, Los Angeles and he attended Crenshaw High School. Ice-T started his entertainment career in music as a rapper but later in life moved into acting with a major role in TV series Law and Order: SVU.
