I've seen 'The Gates of Hell' in the Rodin Gallery run by Samsung before.
The thinker is gazing at a hellish situation from above. Hell cries out with its own rhythm, People seemed to be shouting their own stories. What was Europe like around 1917 when Rodin was alive? War clouds were hanged over the Europe. The mental health of Europeans, which had been maintained until then, was torn apart due to World War II.
Even in the 2020s, modern people's anxiety still persists. Modern people go beyond individualism and are cut off from each other. Disconnection isolates each other and leans toward extremism. Bookstores are full of texts that give emotional comfort as if showing the hearts of modern people. 'The thinker' of the 21st century is as follows. People struggle to stop falling in their lives. The person above just watching the struggle of the crowd below.
