Performance butoh "Synesthesis" powstał z inspiracji tekstem dramatu japońskiego teatru NO "Teika". Główna bohaterka, po śmierci wędruje po świecie nie mając świadomości, że jest już po tamtej stronie. Technologia pozwala nam przekraczać różne granice, które zdawały się konstytutywne dla nas, ludzi: granicę zmysłów i czasu. Pytanie, jakie zadali sobie twórcy brzmi: jakie w związku z tym będzie ucieleśnione doświadczanie świata człowieka w przyszłości. Sercem projektu jest patch w VVVV, który komunikując się z kontrolerem ruchu Kinect 2 pobiera dane o pozycji rąk i tancerki w przestrzeni. Kontroler łapie olbrzymie ilości danych, a dzięki algorytmom AI jest w stanie podać ich dokładne pozycje. Sztuczna inteligencja towarzyszy głównej bohaterce spektaklu w wędrówce po świecie żywych.

The butoh performance "Synesthesis" was inspired by the text of a drama by the Japanese theatre NO "Teika". The main character, after death, wanders around the world not being aware that she is already on the other side. Technology allows us to cross various boundaries that seemed to be constitutive for us humans: the boundary of senses and time. The question the artists have asked themselves is what the embodied experience of the human world will be like in the future. At the heart of the project is a patch in VVVV which, communicating with the Kinect 2 motion controller, collects data about the position of the hands and the dancer in space. The controller catches huge amounts of data, and thanks to AI algorithms is able to give their exact positions. The artificial intelligence accompanies the main character of the show on her journey through the world of the living
