WE GROW HERE, WE DRINK HERE, WE BREATHE HERE. , 2021
Performance

The Yangtze River fed our ancestors and shapes this city. Whoever stay in this city forms a connection with the river as we grow, drink and breathe here. The performance uses recycled plastic bottles, a mask and black outfit to visualize the plastic waste generated by one person in a month and presents it dramatically.
The COVID-19 pandemic has shown that disaster is often caused by Trojan horse problems. The mask connects me to this grave period of COVID-19; the colour of the cloth represents mourning. The sound is a mantra revealing that human activity is tiny in contrast to nature.
This performance modestly intrudes on the landscape of the Yangtze River and asks the question, when will be the next pandemic? Can we get through next time? The work explores urgent environmental issues, suggesting we rethink our lifestyle.

长江养育了我们的祖辈,塑造了这座城市。我们在这里成长、饮水和 呼吸,留在这座城里的人都与这条河有着密不可分的联系。表演中,使 用回收塑料瓶、面具和黑色服装来来展现一个人在一个月内产生的塑料废物,并用戏剧性的方式呈现。
新冠肺炎疫情表明,灾难往往是由“特洛伊木马”引起的。面具使我联想到新冠肺炎的这个严峻时期;这块布的颜色代表哀悼。这个声音是一种咒语,揭示了人类活动与自然相比是多么微不足道。 表演慢慢混入了长江的景观,并提出这样一个问题:下一次疫情会是何时?下次我们能挺过去吗?该作品探索了紧迫的环境问题,建议人们重新思考自己的生活方式。
