Floating Fragments , 2022
76 x 56 cm (h x w)
watercolour on paper

The series of watercolours reveals and communicates ideas of the inner self, the conscious and unconscious self, and identity and belonging.
I discover the dichotomy between mother and child, the abstract and the figurative, construction and destruction, breaking and repairing. I focus on regaining control of the past and the possibilities of reconciliations between childhood traumas, memory, body, cultures, and relationships. I enjoy the talkback between me and my work, the inner self, and the inner world.
