There are two types of masks in the artwork: used masks dipped in clay slip and burn-out, and masks produced through slip-casting.
The masks that were dipped in clay and then fired had imprints of moments of my life. The objects and matters that once existed vanished in the fire leaving behind the shells of the masks. They exist, yet not. They are fragile, yet strong.
The other type of masks are like vessels. They are carriers of new objects and new possibilities.
Together they float or sink with the ebbs and flows of our lives.
