The snowy egret is a rare and beautiful sight in Massachusetts, so to represent one in flight was
instinctual to me. My artistic approach to this work was much less instinctual. Deviating from my
usual approach, I tried to keep a very narrow value range and focus more on the negative space
as a point of interest.
