The maker of this cloth recalls the bloodshed and violence she experienced as a persecuted minority in Pakistan. Many of her family members were murdered in a massacre at their mosque that led her to flee for her life. As she depicts these memories, she learns ways to regulate her body’s automatic response to the trauma so that she can regain control of her life.
