Grazing smoke, harvesting fear

My Planet, series

With its huge population and emerging middle class,
Nigeria is seeing a boom in demand for meat that
poses risks to the Fulani nomadic and semi-nomadic
herders who provide most of the country’s beef. New
opportunities come with new challenges. All the while,
climate change is turning the semi-arid grazing land they depend on into desert.
