Sunboga (先報歌) means ‘a song to be delivered in advance.’ Reflecting on archives and exploring the inner world of veterans of the Korean War using photography and video, this project addresses the impact of events affecting individuals and society in general. Started in 2015, it is an ongoing project and initially titled “June 25th, 1950”. The project also trace the residual trauma of war veterans and its transformation over time. can be viewed as a process and as well as the result of an inquiry into the lives of Korean war veterans.

Seung-Woo Kim studied photography at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and has worked in photography, digital media and installation art. His main focus is on the subject of human good and evil, and he follows microscopic histories that tell stories about these polar opposites but always remain in the gray areas in-between.

Dooyoung Cho is a documentary director and filmmaker who makes documentaries and video art. He graduated from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York. His work traces the scars left by momentous historical events and societal changes on individuals lives.
