Laptop in the Streets and more art by Ellie Day

Laptop in the Streets
h = 200 cm
Acrylic on wood-chip

The public acts as the driving force for Ellie’s practice as she uses her work to record every day observations. Ellie uses a number of mediums to convey her personal experiences such as gouache, acrylic, oil pastel and drawing ink which all knit together to form a visual diary. Phrases that the artist over hears in public also feature heavily throughout her practice to accompany drawings. With her pieces carrying a busy atmosphere, they replicate what Ellie feels the buzz of public chatter would look like visually.
