Painted from April - June 2020 during lockdown. The painting shows 3 faces representing the Moirai threads or fate. The pandemic is an unprecedented event in our lifetime and something that feels beyond the reach of our control. I have felt helpless in everything that has been going on.

This painting is about the belief and faiths in our modern day society and how some sections try to comprehend and make sense of why this pandemic is thrust upon us, as though there must be a reason for it. What chooses our fate and why do we persist in wanting to seek out answers.
I like the story in greek mythology of the Moirai threads. This painting is a nod to the three threads of fate, the Spinner, The Allotter and the Cutter... I believe we create our own fate by the choices we make.
