Lady of Embers , 2020
25.8 x 19.8 in (h x w)
Gouache and colored pencil on illustration board

This piece is about not feeling like yourself, having bad days, and being in bad moods. As well as snapping at those around you, and feeling like you’re breathing fire. Aptly, I used a fire breather to represent this feeling. As she performs, she blows a vicious fire ball, surrounding her in flames. Everything around her is illuminated from the glow of the Pyro-Woman’s performance.
