Sea Otter , 2020
13 x 11 in (h x w)
Digital

Apex predator of its ecosystem, this marine mammal maintains balance through its consumption of crustaceans, sea urchins and other invertebrates. Shown within a lush kelp forest, the sea otter seeks its prey amid a biodiverse and lively environment. The absence of the sea otter results in a cascade of detrimental effects. Sea urchins in particular, overtake the kelp forests, depleting a vital habitat and food source for many creatures.
