One of the most acclaimed artists of recent years, Julie Mehretu creates enormous abstract paintings in which layered marks and diagrams chart the flow of the political, economic and natural systems that drive the world. Visually, her paintings appear as a breathtaking maelstrom of line and color. The artist has made several prints in collaboration with master printers, including this lithograph and screenprint, created with Cole Rogers at Highpoint Press in Minneapolis. When the Art Center was offered an unexpected opportunity to acquire this most sought-after print, Print Club provided the funds for the acquisition.
