Ice Floe , 2020
12 x 20 in (h x w)
Gouache

Arctic ocean waters have not been safe from the effects of climate change. Ice Floe follows the close escape of a bowhead whale from predatory killer whales. Since 2017, arctic ice melting has allowed killer whales to begin hunting new species of sea creatures previously guarded by the ice.
